Gisela Kunstler, MFT, CADC II
Gisela Kunstler, MFT, CADC II, is a frontline substance abuse counselor and therapist with extensive experience in the field of chemical dependency and related family systems problems. She is also an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and faculty at UCLA, Loyola Marymount University and California State University, Dominguez Hills Extension Programs, teaching the alcohol and drug certificate curriculum.
Gisela has worked in the field of chemical dependency since 1997 as a counselor with the CLARE Foundation, Phoenix House, and as a dual diagnosis therapist with Didi Hirsch, studying a variety of treatment approaches, including the Social Model, Medical Model, and Therapeutic Community.
Gisela has been an instructor with ICDS-Pacific West, preparing students to become certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and conducted workshops on Motivational Interviewing and HIV Basic at the CAADAC conference in Sacramento (2003), Prototypes Conferences, Healing Our Village (2004 and 2006), Wright Institute-Los Angeles (2005), and Didi Hirsch (2003-2005).
She received her Certificate in Human Services from L.A.C.C. (1997), and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology (2003) from Antioch University.
